WordPress is a popular content management system (CMS) that allows users to create and manage websites easily. It was initially designed for blogging but has evolved into a versatile platform for various types of websites, including portfolios, e-commerce sites, and corporate blogs.
You can subscribe to WordPress, an AWS Marketplace product and launch an instance from the product’s AMI using the Amazon EC2 launch wizard.
Step 1: SSH into your instance with username ubuntu and key pair to start the application
Username: ubuntu
ssh -i ssh_key.pem ubuntu@instance-IP
Step 2: Use your web browser to access the application at:
http://<instance-ip-address>
Replace <instance-ip-address> with the actual IP address of the running EC2 instance.
Step 3: Access WordPress Web Interface
Step 4: You will be prompted to select the language you would like to use:
Fill Requirement
Database Name – wordpress
Username – Admin
Password – admin@123
And Click Submit
Click Run The Installation
Select a name for your WordPress site and choose a username. It is recommended to choose something unique and avoid common usernames like “admin” for security purposes. A strong password is generated automatically. Save this password or select an alternative strong password.
Enter your email address and select whether you want to discourage search engines from indexing your site:
When you click ahead, you will be taken to a page that prompts you to log in:
Once you log in, you will be taken to the WordPress administration dashboard:
At this point, you can begin to design your WordPress website. If this is your first time using WordPress, explore the interface to get acquainted with your new CMS.

The “Elastic” nature of the service allows developers to instantly scale to meet spikes in traffic or demand. When computing requirements unexpectedly change (up or down), Amazon EC2 can instantly respond, meaning that developers have the ability to control how many resources are in use at any given point in time. In contrast, traditional hosting services generally provide a fixed number of resources for a fixed amount of time, meaning that users have a limited ability to easily respond when their usage is rapidly changing, unpredictable, or is known to experience large peaks at various intervals.

An Amazon Machine Image (AMI) is simply a packaged-up environment that includes all the necessary bits to set up and boot your instance. Your AMIs are your unit of deployment. No. You do not need an Elastic IP address for all your instances. By default, every instance comes with a private IP address and an internet routable public IP address. The private address is associated exclusively with the instance and is only returned to Amazon EC2 when the instance is stopped or terminated. The public address is associated exclusively with the instance until it is stopped, terminated or replaced with an Elastic IP address. These IP addresses should be adequate for many applications where you do not need a long lived internet routable end point. Compute clusters, web crawling, and backend services are all examples of applications that typically do not require Elastic IP addresses.
